The upgrades made to both the interior and exterior make Anil’s place stand out in South Richmond Hill! Besides the beautiful remodeling, the food is amazing! Nothing compares to a home cooked meal and that’s exactly what Anil’s offers, food that makes you feel like you’re home! You can absolutely tell that the people preparing the food put their hearts into it! Not to mention, how friendly and welcoming the staff is. I am a culinary chef n let me say this, best selfish n bake. The last two times I went there a very pleasant soft spoken lady helped me. She filled my bake with so much salt fish, when I opened it I was so shocked. Food is full of flavor. Highly recommend u try it. I had their stew chicken, curry chicken, fish cake n dhal puri n I kn some more stuff but just don't rem rite now. Great food awesome service.

Food is always great and service is fast. Be careful if you're driving though, there's normally no parking close.

This is what they just sold me a chicken curry and the meat is all bloody. I was so hungry so i got home and after eating this it turns my mind completely.Who could ever think of a chicken curry this way.

They have gave the place a make over. Looks good. The food is also very good. We eat from there at least once or twice a month. But for some reason ever time we order and get home something is missing in our bag. EVERY TIME. From now on were going to have to check good

Their doubles is the real deal just as if you were in Trinidad. The curried goat and rice was good too. A good selection. Place was clean and staff were efficient and friendly.

I stop off here every friday morning at 5am. For two doubles with tamarind and cucumber before i take my journey to work in New Jersey. Food is always fresh, service is quick !

Great tasting food and good prices. They were nice enough to let me use their restroom. I just wish they would cover the food to keep the flies off the food.

A classmate put me on to this place and I must say my favorite thing here are the doubles. So delicious, 3 of us eat these everyday for lunch and the person that referred me eats them like there is no other food on the planet lol.

Anil. What can I say. Haven't seen him in almost 18 years. Popped in and was treated like family. Food was amazing, staff was patient and courteous. You could tell that there are hearts put into this shop every day. I will be popping by for a roti before heading back home to Buffalo. Keep doing what you guys are doing Anil! Being A Very Old Customer To This Establishment, I Must Say That I'm Very Disappointed With The Service That These Newcomers Provide, They're Not Only Rude And Obnoxious And Tend To Ignore You, They Rush Like It's A Race Even Though I Was The Only Customer In The Store! The Way That The Girl Picked Up The Curry Potatoes And Dropped It Into The Container Today, Was Really Mean, She Acted Like She Was Handing Food To Someone Contagious With Something, She Closed The Container So Quick, I Couldn't Even Ask For Pepper, I Went In There To Buy Food For Five People, But Left With Only One Meal! All Because Of Those Johnny Come Lately Servers With A Whole Bunch Of Bad Attitude! Never Again! Let Them Try That Nonsense Back In Guyana Where They Come From, Not For Me.

I stopped in to this neighborhood for the first time and got some food to go from here. Food is excellent. Very clean inside and the staff is very friendly. I'd recommend the chicken curry over the goat because the chicken curry has more meat and frankly tasted better to me. The roti with peas is also amazing.

They don’t even deserve one star. I bought a small container of paynoose (not sure about the spelling). Paid $3.50. I was very disappointed with the taste,plus It had grated coconut in it. and to top that off, The container was like a quarter full... not even halfway full. I feel like i was robbed. I don’t mind the price if it’s worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Another time I bought fried fish only to realized it was on the verge of going bad too. I should have learnt my lessons then, but decided to give them another try. But never again.

Bought bigan choka but it felt like I bought a bowl of onions. The amount of onions in the curry is so ridiculous. We understand you want to stretch the curry with adding ten different things but make it edible to actually have more of the curry then the onions. Using way too much onions.

Good food ...reasonable price...ambiance needs an overhaul. ....ceiling and decorations very poorly maintained. ....otherwise food and service good.Always great tasting food..I love it.

:(....Used to be an awesome food spot, now the portions are smaller, and what use to be a combination is now sold separately, even the taste is different. Must be new owners. Ordered some Plain doubles for my lil girl who pointed out they were just PLANE...lol... Time to find a new spot for my Trinidadian Food. :(

Good food but the servers there are really bad. They mess up you order constantly get mad when you as them to fix it and try to sell you things you have no interest in buying.

Great prices and their doubles are a must try.
